In case for some reason you are unfamiliar with my cat Irving let me fill you in.
He is approx. two years old. Named after my favorite photographer Irving Penn, but Irving is not know for his photographic talents, but other kinds of talents. Like his inability to control his meow before 6am or a disease I like to call the "fresh water" disease. He will not, I repeat not drink water unless he knows it is good enough for you...ie human peoples. 
You think I am joking but I am not. He recently has taken to sitting in the shower and waiting until you shower because the water was good for you, he drinks from the dripping faucet....I know, not the best but I at least I know he's getting some water. 
Other than that, he will stick his paw in my cup as I drink water at night and he is a notorious cup spiller. Well, tonight, I am a genius. He has not gone near his water dish in months although I fill it every few days. So tonight I cleaned it out like always but instead of filling it with water from the sink I went to the fridge and took out a poland spring bottle (also full of faucet water) which he sees me drink from every night and poured it into his dish. The below photo is the outcome of that event.
